When did you originally hear or see "ChatGPT"? I think that the mass of online users finally saw it in November 2022. Back in '22's November, OpenAI released ChatGPT 3.5, which seemed like the future.
That was incredible - you could ask anything and immediately have an answer. I personally remember when I caught my bus, opened Twitter, and saw lots of tweets about GPT, AI, etc. Everyone was very excited and shouting about this innovation; I couldn't pass by and registered an OpenAI account.
Today, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is everywhere and has evolved so much - VERY, VERY, VERY MUCH. Probably everyone who has used the internet in 2024 has seen AI at least once...
Nowadays, all LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) are no longer an innovation but a part of our routine. People are using AI to solve daily tasks which AI does faster than the average person.
Generally, AI can perform tasks related to texts, pictures, videos, and audio. For example, LLMs (Large Language Models) can do tasks, answer questions, sum up something, etc. While LLMs are the most popular AI, there is also AI that generates pictures, videos, music, and much more.
but I think that humanity is still far away from AI, and all those AI brandings and shouts are just marketing. Speaking broadly, all of "AI" is just pre-trained models which are configured to perform tasks.
So, we are still a long way from the rise of the machines, haha... However, there are risks, which I will talk about in one of the later paragraphs.
Artificial Intelligence has significantly simplified our routine and made our lives more convenient.
Firstly, AI is helping people search for information and do tasks faster, especially when it comes to complicated and large questions or list/document creation and organization.
Secondly, AI helps people to work faster, especially if the work is boring and its volume is large.
Finally, AI can offer creativity and come up with ideas faster than a person.
The advantages of AI are vast and varied, making it a powerful tool for enhancing productivity, driving innovation, and improving quality of life across multiple domains.
Guessed? The highlighted lines above were written by ChatGPT, haha! Turns out LLM can replace writers like me... Slowly moving to the next heading>>>
While AI is convenient and helps us, it also poses risks such as people replacement, which in turn causes job cuts. Have you seen how fast AI can generate even entire articles like this? I, who am writing this article using my brain and keyboard, could be relaxing somewhere if I had asked GPT to write this instead of me. But why am I writing this? Because I think that no matter how good AI is, it cannot add to text the main thing - soul. So I think a person's work will always have value.
So, AI can replace humans in some areas, but it can lead to reduced brain capabilities, job cuts, and other problems like copyright issues, especially when generating images, because as I said above, all these models are trained on existing content.
First of all, this conclusion is not AI-generated.
Secondly and finally, I can say that AI is evolving very fast, and every day we are getting closer to the uprising of the machines (joke). Currently, the word "AI" is hyped and being added everywhere. Despite this, Artificial Intelligence can actually help you with your daily tasks and answer your questions. In contrast, it also has risks, and those who develop AI must look at all of this seriously and responsibly, while we, simple users, can take advantage of these technologies.
That's it for today, until we meet again.
